APSG 45 Webinar: Automated Systems and Technology in Geomatics

The APSG 45 Spring Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 as an online webinar. Attendance is free for both APSG members and non-members. 

This meeting's theme is Automated Systems and Technology in Geomatics with talks focused on the ways companies across our industry have adapted in an effort to continue business operations and streamline processes at a time when automating processes and innovative technology is essential. EMBRACING THE DIGITAL REACH: CHALLENGES, LESSONS LEARNED, & MOVING FORWARD

As the Energy Industry begins to warm up from another economic downturn, new maturing technologies and more efficient solutions begin to emerge. The industry is forced to not only develop, but also incorporate technologies that lead to most efficient and cost-effective operations. Those of us in the field and the office have rapidly moved away from basic code writing and hacking to complete software packages that need minimal human input. We are now in a situation in which we all must adapt to the emerging systems and technologies, overcoming the aging “conventional” systems. We want to hear about the challenges involved with developing, using, and adapting to these new technologies and how the industry has changed over the last 5 years. We are really interested in how the industry will continue to change over the next 10 years.

At the Association of Petroleum Surveying and Geomatics, we are keen to be educated about what we do not know! What is being done in the Geomatics field that is innovating and interesting? For our bi-annual meeting, APSG 45, we have organized several speakers who share an interest in educating the community on what is exciting and new or how this new technology is changing the day-to-day operations of the industry. Whether small or large, we would like you to join us to hear about the progressive systems and technologies in the geomatics sector that may affect your day-to-day lifestyle.
